Thought For Today “If God Can’t Then Who Can”

Joshua 10:12-14

12 Then spake Joshua to the LORD in the day when the LORD delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon; and thou, Moon, in the valley of Ajalon.

13 And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. [Is] not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day.

14 And there was no day like that before it or after it, that the LORD hearkened unto the voice of a man: for the LORD fought for Israel.

God will do great things for those who trust in Him. The reason why His professed people have no greater strength is that they trust so much to their own wisdom, and do not give the Lord an opportunity to reveal His power in their behalf. He will help His believing children in EVERY EMERGENCY if they will place their entire CONFIDENCE in Him and faithfully OBEY Him. (PP.493)

When we pray and believe God for the impossible, He makes Himself responsible for the impossible becoming possible! When you can visualize it in your mind your actions will follow you. When YOU set your face link a flint, no one can stop you but you. Joshua knew his situation was beyond his control, but definitely in the reach of one who controls EVERYTHING and EVERYBODY!

Between the time your request is presented to God and the time He chooses to answer, gives us an opportunity to reflect on “case studies” in the WORD to see what He said and what He did for others in similar situations.

Hope says I’m EXPECTING it any day now; But Faith says No Proof No Problem!
